CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Trough X Sydney (273 Crown St, Surry Hills) is an inclusive, visionary, and sex-positive space where all types of consenting bodies, sexual practices, and kinks are openly accepted and celebrated. By entering our venue or events, you agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry. They exist to ensure everyone leaves with great memories and their boundaries intact.

1. Age & Identification (NSW Liquor Laws)

  • Strictly 18+: You must be 18 years or older to enter.
  • Valid Photo ID: Physical, government-issued photo ID (Passport, Australian Driver’s License, or NSW Photo Card) is required. Digital IDs via the official Service NSW app are fully accepted.
  • ID Scanning: In compliance with NSW liquor licensing and safety protocols, your ID may be scanned upon entry.

2. Consent is Non-Negotiable

  • Consent = Sexy: All physical contact, cruising, and sexual practices must be rooted in explicit, freely given, and continuous consent.
  • Clear Communication: "No" always means no. A lack of a clear, enthusiastic "Yes" also means no.
  • The Right to Stop: You or your partner can withdraw consent at any point. If someone asks you to stop or step away, you must do so immediately.

3. Privacy & Photo Policy

  • Keep Your Selfies to Yourself: To protect the privacy and anonymity of our patrons, photography and videography are strictly prohibited inside the venue, particularly in the darkrooms, cruise areas, and play spaces.

4. Inclusion & Behaviour (Don't Be a Dick)

  • Zero Tolerance for Bigotry: Phobic attitudes and discriminatory behavior toward race, gender identity, sexual orientation, expression, or body type will never be tolerated.
  • Respect Boundaries: Be kind, non-judgmental, and respect the personal space of others. If you are caught harassing or making anyone feel unsafe, you will be permanently banned.5. Dress Code & Expression

5. Dress Code & Expression

  • Express Yourself: We invite you to wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable—whether that means full gear, leather, harnesses, sportswear, underwear, or less.

6. Intoxication, Substances & RSA

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): In accordance with NSW law, anyone showing signs of severe intoxication will be refused entry or asked to leave.
  • Play Safe: Monitor your consumption. If you or a friend feel incapable of making conscious decisions, inform our staff immediately. We run a judgment-free medical space to keep you safe.

7. Safety & "Flagging It".

  • Safety Troops: Look out for our staff and security, including our dedicated Safety Troops coded in pink glow-wear.
  • Flag It Early: If anything feels off, or if you witness inappropriate behavior, flag it immediately. We have your back.

8. Search & Right of Refusal

  • Management and security reserve the right to:
Refuse entry to any ticket holder or patron.

Search bags, clothing, and persons upon entry for prohibited items (including weapons, outside alcohol, or illegal substances).

Eject any patron who breaches these rules, without a refund.
